It’s back -- the 5th Annual CAT COUNTRY "Delmarva Star" Competition returns in 2010 with your chance
to become a STAR! We’ll be headed to some of Delmarva’s biggest festivals and events to give one lucky
person the chance to be this year’s "Delmarva Star" and win a Grand Prize of a cruise for two on board
the 4th annual CAT COUNTRY "Cruise to the Caribbean" February 13-20, 2011.
Once again, this year's "Delmarva Star" will also receive a 14 karat white gold "Delmarva Star"
diamond pendant (ladies) or tie tac (guys) courtesy of the Jeweler's Bench in Salisbury.
At each event, two qualifiers will be chosen to move on to the "Delmarva Star" Finals October 9th at
the Apple-Scrapple Festival in Bridgeville, DE where one lucky performer will be crowned the 2010
"Delmarva Star"! In addition to winning the Cruise, this year's "Delmarva Star" will also win a
piece of custom-made jewelry compliments of the Jeweler's Bench in Salisbury, MD.

APRIL: Salisbury Festival - Congratulations to Jerry Taylor of Laurel and Elanit Twiley of Salisbury on qualifying for the Finals in October!

JULY: Nanticoke Riverfest - Our 4 qualifiers are Steven Welch of Selbyville, Lauren Witzke of Laurel, Will Davis of Seaford, and Danielle Leonard of Frederica.
AUGUST: Big Thursday Festival - Congratulations to Christina Bunting of Ocean City and Brittney Trout of Laurel, our latest qualifiers!

Apple-Scrapple Festival in Bridgeville on October 10th, 2009. Watch Chelsea's winning

Cat County Delmarva Star Rules 2010
All contestants must be at least l8 years of age. If the event is held at an establishment that serves alcohol, contestants must be 21.
Songs performed must be of the "Country" genre, which was recorded by a country music artist.
All music tracks will be played from karaoke cdg format play list only provided by a host DJ. Each contestant will choose one song from the play list.
Number of contestants per event will be determined by allotted time.
Non-winners may compete in future Delmarva Star contests.
Registration starts one hour prior to the scheduled start time for each event. No late entries will be allowed.
Once you have registered there will be no song changes permitted.
Swearing or inappropriate behavior will result in disqualification.
Contestants will be judged by crowd response, performance and stage presence. All judge’s decisions are final. Remember they are not professionals. The contest is for fun – if you don’t like finishing second – DO NOT ENTER!
There will be two finalists from each contest plus an alternate may be chosen.
Contestants must be present at the announcement of winners for each event. If not their spot goes to the next runner-up.
All finalists may be required to sing two songs for the final judging.
Grand prize: Cruise for two on board the 3rd annual "CAT COUNTRY Cruise to the Caribbean" Feb. 13-20, 2011. Other prizes to be determined.
